Somerset Academy Davie is a tuition-free public charter school for kindergarten to fifth grade on Davie Road, near the Nova schools. It is part of the Somerset Academy network, and its website names Academica as its education service provider. Like every charter school in Broward County, it is sponsored by Broward County Public Schools but run by its own governing board, and it has no attendance zone: families apply.

How admission works

From the school’s registration page:

  • The school is open to eligible students who live in Broward County, with the preferences state law allows.
  • Enrollment is by random lottery. For the 2026-27 school year, re-registration for current students, siblings and transfers ran Dec. 1-19, 2025; the initial enrollment period ran Jan. 6-31, 2026; and the lottery was held Feb. 9, 2026.
  • Applications are for one grade and one school year and do not roll over. If a seat opens later, a lottery fills it.

The FAQ page says students get preference if the child or a sibling already attends a Somerset campus, and that a kindergartner must be 5 by Sept. 1.
