State report card

Florida grades every public school A to F. A school’s grade is the share of possible points it earns on state test results, learning gains and, for high schools, the graduation rate and college and career acceleration. The state’s 2026 file sets an A for a high school at 65% of points or more.

School year Grade
2025-26 A (67% of possible points)
2024-25 A
2023-24 A

From the state’s 2026 school grades file, the share of students scoring on grade level on the state tests in 2025-26:

  • English language arts: 70%
  • Math: 52%
  • Science: 73%
  • Social studies: 88%

Zone and future plans

Because Nova draws from the whole county, there are no feeder schools. A student’s zoned high school, which may be Western, Hollywood Hills, Stranahan, South Plantation, West Broward or Cooper City for a Davie address, stays the default. Check it in Find My School.

The district’s May 12 Redefining Our Schools update (PDF) set out a plan to redesign the Nova schools as the Nova Innovation Zone, a kindergarten-to-12th-grade model built around technology, workforce pathways and university partnerships. Its timeline:

  • Task force launched May 2026; concept framework August 2026
  • Full design blueprint June 2027, then School Board approval in summer 2027
  • Prototype launch August 2027, pilot expansion August 2028, full implementation August 2029
