Garbage and recycling in Davie are collected twice a week by Coastal Waste & Recycling, the town’s contractor since June 1, 2021. Your days depend on which side of Flamingo Road and Pine Island Road you live on. Carts are emptied any time between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., so have them at the curb before 7 a.m.

Who to call

Your pickup days

Zone Where you live Garbage and recycling days
West West of Flamingo Road Monday and Thursday
Central Between Flamingo Road and Pine Island Road Tuesday and Friday
East East of Pine Island Road Wednesday and Saturday

Not sure which side of the line you are on? The town’s solid waste maps show every zone, and Coastal posts the same maps on its Davie page.

Residents of Everglades Mobile Home Park, Paradise Village and Rexmere Village are not on these schedules, the hauler says; check with your community’s management.

Setting out your carts

Garbage goes in the green cart and recycling in the beige cart. Coastal’s rules:

  • Place carts within two feet of the street.
  • Keep them at least three feet from trees, cars, mailboxes and poles so the truck’s arm can reach them.
  • Close the lid. Bags or boxes next to a cart are not part of cart service.

Coastal’s Davie page says garbage and recycling from single-family homes both go to the Wheelabrator South Broward waste-to-energy plant on State Road 7, where metals are pulled out and recycled and the rest is burned to make electricity. The town still asks residents to keep the two carts separate while Broward County and its cities study a county-run recycling facility.

Holidays

The town says there is no solid waste service on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 26) or Christmas Day (Friday, Dec. 25) in 2026. If one of those is your pickup day, your garbage is collected on your next regularly scheduled day. Town office closures are posted on the town’s news page.

Bulk trash

Homes with curbside service get one bulk pickup a month, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the date set for your area. Find your date on the town’s bulk maps or with “Find Your Bulk Trash Date” on the same page. The hauler’s rules for a pile to be taken:

  • Up to 15 cubic yards per home, about the size of a standard car (15 feet long, 7 feet wide, 4 feet deep). A larger pile is tagged and left, and the extra is charged when the pickup is rescheduled.
  • Tree limbs and trunks no longer than 5 feet and no heavier than 75 pounds. Palm fronds do not need to be cut.
  • Leaves and other loose material in sturdy plastic bags of 50 pounds or less.
  • Mirrors, glass tabletops and windowpanes in a rigid container, taped up.
  • Put the pile away from cars, mailboxes, trees and overhead wires.

Condos and apartments

Buildings with dumpsters get bulk pickup four times a year. The 2026 dates in the town’s service guide:
