Easter 2027 is Sunday, March 28, the last day of Broward County’s spring break. Davie’s own Easter tradition is two egg hunts on one Saturday: the town’s Hippity Hoppity Egg Hunt on the ball fields at Bamford Sports Complex and the Splash-and-Dash Egg Hunt in the pool next door. In 2026 both were on Saturday, April 4; the 2027 date is not out yet, and we will post it here as soon as the town announces it.

Prizes went to children who found special eggs. The town asked families to arrive early.

Splash-and-Dash Egg Hunt: how 2026 ran

The town’s pool hunt was 1 to 3 p.m. the same Saturday at the Pine Island Aquatic Center, 3800 SW 92nd Ave. Lifeguards tossed 500 eggs into the pool for each age group, and each child got a gift bag; the Easter Bunny, arts and crafts and face painting were part of the event. It cost $5 a child, needed pre-registration and was capped at 100 children.

Easter weekend at Flamingo Gardens

Flamingo Gardens’ 2027 events timeline puts its 45th International Orchid and Bromeliad Show on Friday to Sunday, March 26-28, Easter weekend. The garden, at 3750 S. Flamingo Road, is normally open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Details: flamingogardens.org, 954-473-2955.

Easter Bunny at the nursery

Flamingo Road Nursery, 1655 S. Flamingo Road, says its Easter Bunny roams the garden center in spring, giving away candy and posing for photos, and that spring brings its free weekly Garden Talks classes. Dates are on its seasonal events page; the garden center is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Easter brunch
